About the Gulf Islands: The area covered by this mapsheet includes the north extent of the Gulf Islands and the British Columbia mainland from the border through to the Fraser River. While the Gulf Islands are an idyllic cruising area, this section of the southern Strait of Georgia is a vast waterway plied by vessels of all types, so planning transits is a key aspect to moving through this region.
About this mapsheet: The Inside Passage Chart Assistant series is composed of 11 mapsheets designed to enable transit of the British Columbia coast from Washington State to Smith Inlet by using a uniformly scaled and continuous set of mapsheets. Since most mariners use electronic navigation, these mapsheets can be used for logistics and planning where a broad visual overview is necessary.
