About North Vancouver Island: The protected inner waters of the southern British Columbia coastline give way to the more open and wild shores of North Vancouver Island past Port Hardy. Protected almost in its entirety as Cape Scott Provincial Park, this is a rugged area for mariners, explorers and (thanks to the North Coast Trail) even hikers who wish to get away from it all.
About this mapsheet: The Inside Passage Chart Assistant series is composed of 11 mapsheets designed to enable transit of the British Columbia coast from Washington State to Smith Inlet by using a uniformly scaled and continuous set of mapsheets.
